It's been so very long since the last time I blogged about anything I think I may have forgotten how to LOL! We have had so much going on and I just haven't taken the time to stop long enough. And while I am sure no one even checks the good ole blog any more I am going to try and start blogging again now :)
So where to start that is the question?
Holly decided to join the Golf team at school this year and while I didn't take many photo's I did manage to take a few.
We are so very proud of her she did really well. She needs to work on her driving but her short game is quite amazing. At the fall sports awards night she was honored to received the "Mike Thompson Character Counts Victory with Honor" award which is given to one player who the coach felt showed exceptional Character. When we spoke with the coaches after the awards that night they told us that they loved the fact that Holly is a stickler for rules and is not afraid to stand up for what is right. The also told us that even though there was not a captain on the team that Holly show her leadership skills and rallied the girls with her positive attitude. This year the coaches also told us that there was no drama between any of the girls on the team and that they all got along so well which apparently is not always the case.
And even though this picture is so so blurry and bad I am sharing it because I love the fact that the parents of the boy this award is named after handed her the award. Also the dad of the boy the award was named after was Holly's head coach which made it all the more special in my book. I wasn't prepared for Holly to win an award which is why when they announced it, it took me a minute to grab my camera and turn it on and snap this picture so very quickly.
Allison Smith won the award for "Lowest Average", Holly with her award and Elia Vasquez won the award for most improved.
Holly and her wonderful coaches!
Until Next time!
