I am still enjoying this class so much. Today I decided to try the Layer Stamping and Embossing techniques as shown by Shari Carroll. I didn't have the stamps she used but once again I am using what I have on hand. I used the tree stamp from an old Stampin Up set and the Merry Christmas sentiment and snowflakes from what is quickly becoming my favorite Christmas stamp set by Lawn Fawn.
I used three mid-tone shadow inks by Hero Arts in the colors of Pool, Tide Pool and Green Hills. Since my tree was a wood mounted stamp I chose to use my stamp positioner to get the placement of my trees so that they overlaped. I used clear stamps for the sentiment and snowflakes and stamped them with Versamark ink and embossed them with silver. After I embossed them I also used my wink of stella glitter pen to add sparkle to my trees. I used a pattern paper from Bella Blvd and a piece of washi tape from doodle bug. The twine is honeydew by the twinery and I finished it off with a gem from Hero Arts. I used dimensional adhesive to pop up the front of the card and this card is so pretty in real life that pictures don't do it justice. I tried to get a picture of the sparkle but it's not the best picture LOL but you get the idea.
If your taking this class what is your favorite technique you have learned so far? I haven't really learned many new techniques but it is so fun to revisit techniques that I haven't used in quite awhile.
Until Next Time!
