Hello here is my take on Day 2 of the Holiday Card Workshop.
I really liked the look of the die cut card that Jennifer showed in class but I didn't have many holiday dies so I took out what I did have an made due with that. I really like that this card is flat and would be very easy to mail.
I started with a piece of Neenah Solor white card stock and I used an ornament cookie cutter die from QuicKutz and the tag die from Lawn Fawn's Tag your it. I cut out the ornament first and then placed the tag die over the place where the ornament die was cut out and cut it out as well. Next I stamped the ornament die with snowflakes from the Winter Gifts stamp set and also stamped the tag with dies from the same stamp set. I used a fine tip pen to draw some lines on the ornament as well as around the outside of the card. I used the Wink of Stella glitter pen (one of my new favorite things) to glitter up the ornament and the holly leaves. I colored the tag and holly with copic markers and used glossy accents on the holly berries and just like that this card was done.
This was such a fun technique and I wanted to make more cards using it but I didn't have any other holiday dies so I made a Just Because card using the same technique.
For this one I used the Lawn Fawn Stitched Journaling die along with the banner die from the same set and a butterfly stamp and die from a Sizzix set. The greeting is from the Clearly Besotted stamp set A Little Sentimental. Love the way these cards turned out and will definately be using this technique again in the future.
Until Next Time
